Registration for Pre-K through Grade 2 is now open! You can register via SportsPilot. Note that we have changed the format for Grade 2. (More information on that below.)

SCHEDULE
Sessions will be held on Saturday mornings from April 27 through June 8 at Davis Hill Elementary School. No session on May 25. Below is a breakdown by grade:

  • Pre-K: 8:30 to 9:10
  • Kindergarten: 9:30 to 10:15
  • Grade 1: 10:30 to 11:20
  • Grade 2: 11:30 to 12:30

FORMAT
Sessions will include fun activities that provide players with high repetitions of key technical skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. (Fun is essential to player enjoyment and thus retention, and repetitions are the key to development!) K-2 sessions will end with an informal, low-pressure game against another team.

GRADE 2 CHANGES
To help prepare players for the jump to U10, we are changing the Grade 2 program to include goalkeepers, bigger nets, and a weekly training session. Details will be sent to Grade 2 parents.

SPECTATOR RULES
To ensure that players learn from their own decisions on the field and equate soccer with enjoyment (rather than scrutiny and pressure), we ask that spectators “let them play” and refrain from calling out instructions. We also ask that spectators watch from the spectator sideline (opposite the teams). Lastly, we have a zero tolerance policy with regard to referee abuse. Spectators who do not abide by these rules may be spoken to or asked to leave the venue.

EQUIPMENT NEEDS
HYS will provide shirts. Players will need shin guards, cleats, a size 3 ball, and a water bottle.

COST
The registration fee is $60 for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Grade 1. The fee has been increased to $70 for Grade 2 due to the additional weekly training session.
