Holden Youth Soccer is offering a scholarship to a local student who has been involved with HYS and has demonstrated achievements in academics, athletics, and/or community service.

Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:

• Must be or have been a contributing participant in the HYS program as a volunteer, coach, referee, and/or player
• Must be a resident of Holden, Rutland, Paxton, Sterling or Princeton
• Must be a graduating senior from an accredited high school and be accepted into and planning to attend an accredited college or university next semester

Preference will be given, but not limited, to those students who have demonstrated the following:

• Involvement through volunteer contributions to youth, elderly, or community programs
• Academic success by earning a minimum of a 2.5 G.P.A
• Athletic achievement

Application Procedure

• Provide an official copy of your high school transcript
• Provide a one page essay speaking to why you should be considered for this scholarship and your affiliation with Holden Youth Soccer
• Indicate the college or university which you will be attending and your financial need
• Provide a detailed list of dates and type of volunteer contributions (resume format)
